First, a little about myself.  I have been collecting South Jersey glass for over 10 years now and have done a lot of research on this type of glass.  Due to a medical problem I am going to be listing things I normally would not sell.  Most of what I am going to be listing are not pieces of glass I bought for reselling but are part of my collections.  I say most because I do deal with a couple of local antique stores and occasionally find something I can pick up reasonably and list.

All pieces listed as Hofbauer glass were blown, I believe, by August Hofbauer either at Vineland Glass Works, Beacon Glass Company or at the South jersey Bog Glass Works.  These pieces were identified by myself with the assistance of a catalog or with the assistance of friends of mine I consider experts in this type of glass.

I am also going to be listing a few pieces that were blown at the Vineland Flint glass Works, not to be confused with Vineland Glass Works.  Victor Durand owned this company and is the same glass works that the famous art glass was blown, known as Durand Art Glass.  These pieces I will be listing are known as Commercial ware or Iridescent Stretch Glass, and the general consensus is it predates the art glass.  I would date it from around 1915 to 1924.   Many of these pieces were identified with the help of Dave Shetlar, author of "American Iridescent Stretch Glass".

I will also be selling some Clevenger glass that was blown in Clayton New Jersey, where I live.  This glass falls in one of two categories, pre-1966 when it was owned by the Clevenger, or post 1966 when Jim Travis owned and operated it.  The furnace was shut down in 1999 and never restarted.  Jim Travis passed away in 2007 and at present the glass works sits idle.  When I list any of the more modern Clevenger glass I will be sure to identify it so as not to confuse any collectors of south Jersey glass.

I am also listing some new glass, as in brand new!  A new glass furnace has opened in Clayton, New Jersey named the "New Fislerville Glass Works".  This glass, blown in the true South Jersey tradition, is being done by Jeff Vanaman.  Jeff is a Master Glassblower and instructor with over 25 years experience in glass blowing.  I have added a few of his pieces to my personal collection and can be seen on my Whimsey pages.   In addition you can see items I have for sale of his using the link below.

In addition to Jersey glass I will be selling a number of Fenton Art Glass.  These are pieces from my wifes collection she has decided to part with due to storage room and lack of places to display it.  Fenton started in 1907 in W. Virginia and has now shutting down in 2007.  Some of these pieces are going to be early from my collection, 1930 or earlier.

You can find glass I have for sale on the following pages.  Use the links bellow to see what I have in the different categories.  Click the small photos to see an enlarged photo of the piece.  To ask questions about an item you can e-mail me or call me.  My cell phone is best to use after 5:30pm EST.
Thank you!
